Oz plus some super powers
Lately Sammy will run up to me or her father and say, “Australia is? Sam’s room?” She just loves pointing out the land down under on the world map in her room. It used to hang on her wall, like a normal map, but a few weeks ago the picture hook broke, it fell down, and I have just been too lazy to fix it. When I suggested that AC might fix it, he said “No! It’s great where it is. I have been teaching Sam geography.” Sure enough, it’s at just the right height for her. Score one for lazy housewifery.
In addition to Australia, Sam knows where China, Russia, and the U.S. are. Since I shot this video, AC has taught her Brazil, France, Egypt, Spain and Canada. Australia is her favorite, though.

The thing that you ask to do each and every day? You like to show your father where Australia is on the world map in your room. “Show Daddy where Australia is?” Yep, you’re a geography head. [...]
