We went to renew Sam’s passport and AC got put in the stockade.
Story of the World Club met today to talk about Ancient Africa, listen to a tale of Anansi the spider, and get some crafting on. The kids made paper bead necklaces, dry bean tambourines, and egg carton spiders.

Today Sam and I participated in a photo scavenger hunt organized by PhoozL, a local start-up that AC is involved with. We had 12 clues or prompts for photos in and around Cville’s downtown mall. The clue for this photo was, “Three Presidents.”
On my way out the door I dropped a set of keys in the toaster. Many, many minutes later they emerged in a shower of crumbs.
Sam and Susie were devastated to find two broken robin’s eggs on the ground behind a bush. The bird embryos had not survived the fall. We buried the eggs, and the girls decorated the gravesite with flowers and stones that said RIP. Then they sang a rousing French song and danced around the grave. I […]
The Sam and Susie cleaning service got their first non-familial customer today–hired by neighbors to wash two of their outdoor chairs.
AC had to work on Sunday and he invited Sam and me along to tour the outdoor facilities at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, where we ran into this unlucky fellow.
New addition to the front yard–a Stella Cherry tree! We’re excited about edible landscaping.
